Who We Are

Jennifer Castellón Guerrero

Coordinator

My name is Jennifer Gissele Castellón Guerrero, and I’m proud to call Comayagua, the heart of Honduras, my home. My life changed forever when I was 14 years old, thanks to my sister Pamela, who lovingly shared the gospel with me. It was at that moment that I gave my life to Jesus, and ever since, my faith has been the driving force behind everything I do. I firmly believe that God has blessed each of us with unique gifts, and mine has always been the joy of serving others.

With over 10 years of experience as a pedagoga, I have had the privilege of teaching in bilingual schools, where I’ve helped shape the lives of countless students. Education is not just my career; it’s my passion and a calling I take to heart. But my work doesn’t end in the classroom. As an entrepreneur, I’ve found a special way to merge my love for history and treasures by running an online shop where I curate and sell antique and vintage items—each piece carrying a story of its own.

Since January 2023, I have had the immense honor of working with Open Eyes Ministries as a coordinator. In this role, I’ve been able to live out my calling on a larger scale, organizing and participating in initiatives that bring hope, support, and the message of Christ to those who need it most. It has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, working alongside teams driven by the same passion: to serve others and spread the love of God.

I am deeply grateful for the journey God has set before me, and I look forward with anticipation to how He will continue to use my life and the work we’re doing through Open Eyes Ministries to transform the world around us.

Pastor Rudbel Barahona

Leader of Assemblies of God in Honduras

My name is Pastor Rudbel Barahona, and I serve with the Assemblies of God in Comayagua, Honduras. I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude and share a testimony that is deeply personal. It speaks to the incredible impact of both a person and an organization: Sister Pamela Castellón and "Open Eyes."

Eight years ago, I had the privilege of being visited by Sister Pamela and Open Eyes. They extended an invitation to hold a missionary event at our church—an event focused on evangelism and social outreach. Little did I know, this was not just an invitation; it was a divine door opening before us, a channel through which God would bring salvation, eternal life, hope, and joy to people from every corner of our community.

What began as a single event has blossomed into eight years of rich fellowship and partnership with Open Eyes and Sister Pamela. Throughout this time, I have seen miracles unfold. Countless individuals have surrendered their lives to Christ, proclaiming Him as their Savior. I have witnessed children’s faces light up with smiles, adults being blessed with the gift of health, and churches being strengthened, not just spiritually but also physically, with much-needed improvements.

What truly sets Open Eyes apart is their unwavering commitment to go where few others will. Their missionary teams reach the most remote and forgotten places, yet their passion burns just as brightly—to transform lives for Christ.

For this, I am profoundly thankful. Their dedication, faith, and love for people have left an indelible mark on our community, and I know that the Lord will continue to use them in mighty ways.
