Pure Water Project

Open Eyes Ministries is honored to partner with Pure Water Ministry (based in the United States) to bring clean, safe drinking water to communities in need across Honduras.
Together, we work to install water filtration systems in areas where access to clean water is scarce or non-existent.

While clean water is a basic human right, the reality in Honduras tells a different story—an estimated 90% of the population lacks access to safe drinking water. Many families are left to rely on whatever water source is available—rivers, lakes, streams, rainwater, wells, or even roadside ditches. Sadly, most of these sources are unsafe for consumption, yet necessity leaves no other option.

Through our partnership, each filtration system—costing $2,500—can provide purified water for up to 2,000 people every single day. Local Water Boards, in collaboration with nearby Water Churches, are trained to maintain and monitor the systems to ensure they remain effective and sustainable.

Open Eyes Ministries carefully identifies communities with the greatest need, meeting their physical needs through clean water—and opening the door to also meet their spiritual needs through the hope of the Gospel.
